First ‘édition critique’ of the works of François Villon (1431–1463), compiled by Eusèbe de Laurière and Père Du Cerceau on the basis of the previous edition by Clément Marot, published in 1533. Volume 7 of the ‘Collection Coustelier’.

Description: 3 parts in 1 vol., contemp. sprinkled calf, sides ruled with triple gilt fillet, two morocco labels to spine, lettered gilt. Marbled endpapers. Sextodecimo; 16 × 9.5 cm; pag.: [14], 112, 64, 56. Marbled edges.

Condition: Rubbing to boards, spine ends worn, outer hinges somewhat brittle. Contents with a few minor signs of age and use. Extensive ink annotations in a contemporary hand on front free endpaper.
